Well, Halloween was a lot of fun. Kristen, Hannah, Jeremy, Madison, and Mimi came over to trick-or-treat. We had pizza first and then got ready to go out. Hailey was a witch, Hayden was spiderman (again), Hannah a dolphin, Jeremy a shark, and Madison a ladybug. We headed out just before dark and they racked up on candy. Our neighborhood is pretty big so everyone in the county comes to trick-or-treat. It is like a street party. We had a good time. Their are two different houses that really go all out. One has a witches pot and the kids get to drop pretend rats, roaches, etc into the brew. But, one house is amazing. They put up a wrought iron fence and gate that says "cemetary". They have probably 20 "people/monsters" out in the fenced in area. You have to walk through there to get to the front door and to the candy. The trick is that some of those "monsters" are real and will jump out at you. I was surprised that Hayden and Jeremy were the ones to go through and not the girls. They made it all the way to the door without a monster jumping out at them until the way back. It was so funny! Just before Hayden made it all the way back ...one jumped out at him and he just stepped it up and took off without making eye contact. It was hilarious! Brian stayed behind to pass out candy (scare little kids). We had to turn the light off around 8:00 after he went through $25.00 worth of candy!!!!!

Besides all the commotion with Halloween, we had some exciting news tonight. Hayden asked Jesus into his heart! We were so excited and surprised. He had been asking lots of questions lately about who all has Jesus in their heart (bad guys in jail, etc.). This night, he asked if all children had Jesus in their heart. I started explaining and he said he had asked Him into his heart the day before. So, I explained what that meant and that Jesus died for us...he said, "in a carwreck?" It was so cute. So, we talked about it and prayed together and he asked Him into his heart. We were concerned with him being so young but our preacher said we shouldn't discourage him because who are we to judge whether he has or not. He said to tell him to tell us when he is ready to go down in front of the church and then be baptized and then we will go together. That way it is on his timeline and when he feels comfortable. Of course he keeps asking about it. So who knows when we will go forward but I am still so excited for him and blessed to know now that both of our children are Christians. It was a great way to end Halloween and one we are sure never to forget!
