Family Weekend

The big boys playing Rock Band.

The Saturday after Christmas, Sean and Garret came in from Tulsa. They were unable to come at Christmas, so this was our Christmas together. We decided that we would all stay at our house because they were going to be here less than 24 hours and the kids would want as much play time as possible. So, Scott & Kristen and their 3 kids, Sean & Garret, and Momma & Daddy all stayed the night. We had spaghetti for dinner, cookies and popcorn for snacks and played Wii and Rock band all night. The next morning, the ladies all got up to fix a big breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Yummm!!! The kids played on the trampoline and the green machine most of the morning. Then, we all headed to Sean's favorite...Pizza Inn, they don't have one in Tulsa. After lunch, everyone headed home. It was alot of fun!

Christmas at Sally's

On Christmas day/evening, we headed to LR to Brian's aunt Sally's house. The kids opened their present first which is a Christmas first for them! They got lots of great things. Thanks to everyone....and Patrick, we'll get you back next year for the megaphone/voice changer! Thanks! Haha! We had prime rib and twice baked potatoes and mac n chz...yum yum! Everything was great. The kids got a Wii!!!!! They were sooooo excited and it kept them busy all night until we left about 10:30! We were tired! That wii is quite the work out, too! My arms are sore from baseball and Hailey said her back hurt!!! Haha! I want to get Jillian's workout from Biggest Loser! Here are some pictures from the night, and a hilarious video of Virginia (Brian's mom) and him boxing. Thanks again, Sally, for having us and for the wonderful meal! We enjoyed it!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Santa's Surprises
Hailey's new kitchen
Hayden and his Green Machine! This is the only time he has been on the thing so far. He was more excited about the darn webkin sticking out of the stocking than this cool ride that spins and does 180 degrees of slipping and sliding! Oh well!

Hayden rummaging through his stocking.
Even the dogs got presents. Muddy loved opening his, but Frosty is terrified of paper.
Hailey and "Claire" her doll she named.

Had no clue what these things were but knew he said he REALLY wanted them. He did like them alot but doesn't seem to work that well as far as, sticking together!

Thankfully, Santa told me his ideas for Hailey while we were at the mall. So, I was able to go ahead and buy some dishes and "cookware" as Hailey says.

Hayden loved his my epet.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!! What a wonderful day to celebrate Jesus' birth with family! The kids slept on their new blow up beds in our bedroom. Hailey was pretty aggravated with us when we didn't get to bed that night at 2:30 am. and she was worried Santa Claus might not wait around! We plopped into bed and she woke us up at 8:10 ready to check things out! Hailey asked for a kitchen set. When I asked her if she thought she might be too big for a kitchen set, her response was, "Momma, you're never too big for a kitchen set!" very matter of factly. I guess that answers that question! Hayden didn't request anything "big". So, Santa had to come up with something on his own! They tore into their stockings and then into their presents from Brian and I. Afterward, they checked out the cookies and were soooo excited to find a small piece of Santa's beard he left behind on his milk cup! We spent the rest of the morning in our PJ's putting together toys, inserting batteries, and PLAYING with all the cool stuff! Even Mimi & PopPop came by to see what all they got and they LOVED showing off their stuff!

Here is a small clip of Hailey on the Green Machine. She was too chicken to make it spin, and that may be a good idea until we can get her helmet on and all padded up! I crashed 3 times on the thing and Brian tumped over once! I tell ya one thing, it is an excellent hip and thigh work out! I'm not really sure if Hayden will even have the "umph" to pedal it!

Christmas Eve

These all uploaded in reverse order, so you may want to start at the bottom of this post and work your way up, as far as the pictures go.

On Christmas Eve, we headed to my parents house (Mimi & PopPop's). We had a housefull but still missed Sean and Garret! We will see them on Saturday! We had a wonderful dinner...cajun smoked turkeys and peppered ham with allllllll the fixin's! Yummy! After stuffing ourselves and cleaning up the kitchen, we headed to the living room where all the kids were anxiously awaiting. The kids got lots of great presents and there was lots of screaming going on from excitement! They all got new PJ's too, so all of them changed before we left for home. It is always great to just be around family and continue with traditions that hopefully our children will have fond memories of.

Christmas with Grandma & Poppy

On Thursday night, Roger & Shirley (aka Poppy and Grandma) came in from TX to celebrate

School Christmas Parties

On Thursday, I took off early to go to the kids Christmas parties. Well, I was in charge of Hayden's so I started his and while they were eating...I headed down to Hailey's for about 10 minutes and then back to Hayden's. First they played Christmas bingo using M&M's. Then they had Christmas cookies, popcorn, green and red grapes, red punch and their M&M's. Next they played pin the nose on Rudolph and throw the snowball through the hole in Frosty. Finally, they got to open up their stockings from their buddies and present Ms. Meins with her teacher gift. They had a great time and it went by super fast.
In Hailey's party, they had ice cream sundaes, had an art contest and played roll the snowman (using toilet paper) and guess how many treats in a jar. They then got to open their Christmas stockings, too. 21 gifts!
I am so blessed to have a flexible job that I can go and be apart of their activities. And now to be off at Christmas when they are is just such a blessing and relief! Praise the Lord!
