Trick or Treat

This is their favorite scary house. It is really cool. It is a big two story house and they put a wrought iron gate and fence up that says Cemetary. Then they have all this "stuff" in the yard like coffins, monsters, mummies, tombstones, etc. The tricky thing is you have to go through the gate and run up the sidewalk to the front porch to get your candy. But, some of the monsters, mummies, etc are real and will jump out at you! What fun! Last year Hailey and Hannah didn't make it through but this year, after some deciding on who would go first, they all made it!

Both Hailey & Hayden took their masks off right away because they got too hot! It was pretty warm for Halloween!

Hailey the skeleton, Hannah as Batgirl, Hayden the ghost, Madison the ladybug, and Jeremy the Storm Trooper

This is one of the "fun" houses they love to go to. Their is a witch with her brew and the kids get to pick things like plastic rats, etc to throw in the pot. When she stirs it the smoke comes up out of the pot.

This is the same house and her garage is all "decked" out. They had a headless man, and a nurse ready to perform surgery with candy blood packets and a long needle that none of the kids signed up for! Their was a mirror to look at your costume in and the face coming out of the black wall would talk about how you looked and stuff. Over on the side of the house was a little grave yard, too.

Scott, Kristen, and their kids along with Mimi, PopPop and Our Crew had a great time trick or treating again this year. We ordered pizza as usual, got everyone dressed, and then headed out. It is always fun for the kids to go together and our neighborhood has PLENTY of houses as well as two great houses that go ALL OUT!!! They got way too much candy, that will never get eaten. They all got tired pretty quick too which the adults didn't mind stopping early.

Career Day at School

This week has been red ribbon week. Each day the kids had to wear something different to celebrate being drug free. On friday, they had to dress up as a career they would like to be when they grew up. Hailey dressed up like a vet and wore my scrubs with puppies on them like Frosty. I made her a vet badge (its around her neck) and she carried a dog and bone with her. She looked pretty cute. Hayden was a fireman, and unfortunately, I accidentally deleted his picture off my camera when I was deleting some pics for more memory. He was cute, too. He wore his red windsuit, a fireman hat from Firehouse, and carried his dalmation webkin. I also made him a fireman badge with his name on it.

Today was Hayden & Hailey's Halloween parties at school. I was in charge of Hayden's and was going to try and go down to Hailey's some, but that didn't quite work out like planned! I got so busy with Hayden's, we even ran out of time before we were finished rotating through the games! Thank goodness Mimi came with me to help and she was able to go down to Hailey's for me! Hayden's party turned out really cute, and I think they all had a really good time. Here are a few pics.

Scott & Kristen's Hayride

On Saturday, we headed to Scott & Kristen's for their annual Hayride. We had a great time. Kristen decorated the basement all up for the kids and she did a great job! We had a cookout and treats. The kids played some games and we had a costume contest for both the kids and adults. It was really fun! Then we headed out into the dark field for a hayride with scary encounters with ghouls and monsters! OOOOoooooo! Here are some pictures from the night! Check out this hot couple, hahaha!

Our New Pets

Here are the newest editions to our crew....two beta fish. We went garage salin' in our neighborhood this weekend and the kids bought two 50 cent fish bowls! Mimi and PopPop gave them a few bucks to go "shoppin". Hayden, of course, just wanted to buy, buy, buy. Hailey is a bit more frugal with her money. But, they were soooo excited to find the fish bowls. So, then we headed to Pet Smart to get a fish. Hailey got a female beta and Hayden got a male beta. They are really pretty! Hailey named hers "swimmie" and as of the latest, I think Hayden's fish is called "fin". Here is "Swimmie" hiding behind her pink plant.

Garret's BDay Party

On Friday, my brother, Sean and his family came in town for the weekend. We celebrated Garret's birthday Friday night at Joe's pizza and then headed to Mimi and PopPop's for dessert and presents. Garret got Rock Band to go with their Wii. I don't know who had more fun, the adults or kids! It was pretty cool. Three people could play at a time, so we had a singer, drummer, and guitar player. Hannah, Hailey, and Garrett were named the Krazy Kousins Band. Watch out Jonas Brothers! They had a great time and then all the cousins had a sleepover at Mimi's.

Hayden's 1st Field Trip

On Friday, I took off to go with Hayden on his first field trip. He was so excited all week. They were riding the bus up to the peach orchard to pick apples, a pumpkin, and go on a hayride. They got to pick 4 apples and Hayden wanted more, of course. He was trying to be sneaky and get more. He also wasn't wanting to share his apples with us, so I noticed him taking a bite out of each one! He was hiding eating his apple! It was pretty funny. They enjoyed the hayride, a story, eating pumpkin seeds, singing songs, and hunting nectarine seeds on the ground. Hayden had both pockets full of seeds! We had a picnic lunch and then headed to pick out a pumpkin. They could choose between 3 small or 1 bigger (pie size) pumpkins. Hayden kept changing his mind. He wanted a giant one! They had a good time and I enjoyed spending the day just the two of us.

Hayden's 1st ride on a school bus! He was super excited!
